Alex Landon is a professor of practice at the University of Houston’s Cullen College of Engineering. She directs the Cullen Honors Program and the NAE Grand Challenges Scholars Program. She also supports undergraduate student recruitment for the Cullen College of Engineering. Alex is passionate about innovation and entrepreneurship and serves on the UH Innovation Council. 

Alex teaches first-year honors engineering courses. Each May, she leads a study abroad program to The Netherlands. 

Prior to joining UH, Alex was a senior leader at an education technology startup in Boston. She began her career in the energy industry and also has experience in management consulting, investing, and K-12 public education administration. 

Alex holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where she was a Baker Scholar.
